Downtown Ketchikan & Historical Village Tour
Discover the cultural side of Ketchikan as your coach winds through the streets of the city. Your narrated tour visits historic Downtown Ketchikan, which includes Creek Street, the Chief Johnson Totem Pole, City Park, and the Fish Ladder, among other landmarks.
That is followed by a trip to Saxman Native Village, where you visit a master carving shed and have the opportunity to photograph an amazing collection of totem poles and the largest clan house in Southeast Alaska. Photography and video cameras are welcomed.
Don’t forget to stop by the gift shop for a chance to purchase authentic Ketchikan or Alaskan made items. From there, you embark on a scenic coastal drive around Mountain Point to George Inlet Lodge, where you are treated to a scrumptious steaming crab meal.
The meal features fresh Dungeness crab served with a Romaine salad with homemade dressing, and a scrumptious cheesecake with blueberry topping for dessert to round out this hearty meal. This feast tends to be a very robust gathering and has been called a “rowdy good time!” Your hosts lead you through a panorama of local tall tales, then demonstrate the easiest way to crack your crabs!
